When we sleep deeply, we experience our infinite awareness, and this is an experience open to every bodymind. A third of our life is spent sleeping. It is essential. It is detrimental not to sleep. But why?
This article claims that “the purpose of sleep is a mystery.” Scientists may define how we sleep, and they know it’s beneficial to experience deep sleep, from which we awake refreshed. In deep sleep, we are out “like a log.” We are compared to being “knocked-out” or “dead.”
A third of our lives are spent sleeping, allowing the full, expansive field of awareness to be.
Every time we sleep it’s a rehearsal for our physical death, it’s a freebie from the infinite, a way for our eternal awareness to soar and refresh the contracted energy of our bodies. Other freebies may be called near-death or out-of-body experiences.
Why do we not remember what is happening in deep sleep? Because our minds are not fully engaged, the activity of the mind is at its lowest ebb in deep sleep.
The mind and the body are temporary modulations of infinite awareness. When we have near-death or out-of-body experiences, our minds are not engaged. Our bodies are incapacitated.
Deep sleep is a kind of near-death experience that everyone enjoys every 24 hours.
Many of us love to fall asleep, we look forward to it. So why don’t we look forward to our final sleep?
Our final sleep is a shedding of the bodymind and an awakening into infinite awareness. If you grieve the dissolution of your loved one’s bodymind, please know that they are now fully a part of the infinite. Their contracted energy is free.
Think of your loved ones, remember them often, ask for them to be with you. Be grateful for their signs that they are present in the moment, and they will feel even closer than before.
Just turn toward Me, acknowledge Me, and I will take you into Myself. --Rupert Spira
