I’m a big fan of guided meditation for mediums. Although I rebelled against it in my youth, preferring to wander off whatever path the meditation teacher lead me down, I see it now as a wonderful way to practice flowing with Spirit’s words.
When you practice visualizing what someone else asks you to picture, you clear your thoughts of interpretation. It’s never what I’m thinking that matters, it’s the message I have to impart that is so necessary for giving information accurately.
That said, recently the way a meditation leader phrased something gave me pause.
On Sunday I listened to a guided meditation which went very well up to the point the gentleman said “up to the heavens….” Perhaps he meant this figuratively, meaning “up to the sky” but when you are speaking about connecting with Spirit, and talk about where Spirit resides as being "up" or "above us", it gives the impression that spiritual energy is way beyond our world.
When he said this my thought process was ignited, unfortunately!
I believe that Spirit is around us, beside us, and yes, above us but no more than ceiling height. In my two out-of-body experiences, I’ve hovered above the scene I was in, but no more than a dozen feet or so. In my normal waking state, I’ve sensed Spirit all around me, sitting beside me or slightly overhead.
While working as a medium bringing through communicators, recipients have told me that they felt their presence or actual touch.
Have you ever wondered where “heaven” is, or even if we must designate a place called “heaven”? For many, heaven is a state of mind which follows us when we die.
If you already understand that we are one Awareness, to die and recognize that state as being a natural step, as natural as falling into the deep sleep where Awareness resides, you’d know that heaven is where you are right now.
