For a pithy, three-word saying, "Less is More" is deep. It has many layers of meaning and can be applied to most aspects of life.
Certainly, if we're talking about material things, the "less" of which we speak should always be of the highest quality (which we can still afford) in order to satisfy the desire for "more."
If I'm going to eat less chocolate, I want it to be awesome as I savor it one square at a time.

I embrace simplicity in all forms. When it comes to spirit communication, I also want to provide the best service to Spirit. In my A2G approach to natural mediumship, I itemize the steps needed for clear communication, steps that minimize intrusion from the medium's mind, resulting in a flow of more information that can be accepted by the recipient.
But before diving into A2G, try to minimize what's on your mind when you connect. Then focus on and master each step before taking that next challenge.
Nurture your energy. I know it helps my connection by eating healthfully, keeping active, recharging in nature, breathing fully, so I can relax into the Power in a snap.
Minimal mediumship excludes crutches, scapegoats, and cramming my schedule with too many sittings/classes/distractions. It's like emptying a junk drawer; when it's overflowing with junk kept "just because," doesn't it feel great to toss out everything except what's really needed? Makes things easier to find, just as an uncluttered mind can laser in on what's important.
So, what do you keep in your drawers?
In my mediumship drawer, I keep tools for sketching spirit portraits. I have a bell that I use on occasion to brighten and clear the atmosphere around me.
In my psychic drawer, there are three tarot decks, a playing card deck, and a pendulum. I hardly use my tarot cards anymore as I trust my clairs to draw the cards for my recipient.
On my desk are a few favorite books I turn to regularly. Otherwise, my library card sees a lot of action. I meditate twice a day and commune with my spirit guides and helpers.
Why not give your mediumship drawer a good cleaning?
Try focusing on less right now. Choose one aspect of your mediumship that needs attention and make that your priority over a period of several weeks, until you are happy with the results.
If things don't go as planned, please don't blame your inactivated gemstones, the moon, lack of sleep, Mercury in retrograde, or mischievous spirits.
