My Wednesday circle on SNUi.org |
The human mind can entertain only one thought at a time. And since thought is always in the past, it has no place in mediumship.
Try letting that most precious real estate, that space your thoughts would occupy, be only from your Spirit communicator when you work as a medium.
If you try to control your mediumship with your mind, there is no possible way Spirit’s images, emotions, information can get in.
Try it now, entertain a thought. Any old thought would do...
Simultaneously, hold in your mind on top of that thought another thought. You can’t do it. Thought is sequential.
When you’re concentrating on something, say, you’re reading a book and your friend from across the room says something, does it sink in? Whatever your friend says will not be heard fully. You may hear the words, but the more subtle meaning won’t come across.
Ask yourself, “Why am I thinking when working with Spirit?” Is it to control the experience? Is it to apply your own take on what information is given? Is it working for you?
How does information from Spirit differ from our own, personal thoughts?
Here are 7 responses from the mediums working in last night’s circle:
1. Words you wouldn't think are used (change in vocabulary).
2. You feel an energy different from your own.
3. Emotions you weren’t having before you started working rise up.
4. Memories you didn't try to recall rise up.
5. Information you didn't previously know about the sitter rise up.
6. You may feel cloudy thinking that overshadows the way you think.
7. You feel subtle changes in and around you; you notice things (like photos in your room, or a certain color) you haven't noticed before.
You must surrender your thoughts at the door. Everything you get the moment you start to work is for your recipient, so please keep your mind out of the way!
