I trust my experience. When I let life flow, wonderful things happen. I find great release in surrendering.
Does surrender feel dangerous to you? Perhaps it's time to relax into letting go a bit.
You see, wonderful things happen when we surrender to what God places in our laps. We must have trust to be open to inspiration. When we trust, when we let go of expectations, so Spirit has the route into our awareness.
Remember how you learned to ride your bike? How frightened you were to sit high up on the seat, your feet barely reaching the pedals?
Do you remember how the person who guided you had to hold onto the back of the seat tightly at first, then with less of a grip, then finally, as you gained trust in your abilities, they simply ran next to you for support?
Together, you built the trust to surrender, and with that surrender, you gained a feeling of freedom. The person guiding you on the bike trusted you as well. In the end, you gained a skill that will never leave you.
Spirit trusts that we are all one awareness and that all this mediumship stuff is as easy as taking a breath, or at the most, no harder than learning to ride a bike.
Why not begin to surrender yourself as a medium? Really surrender to the voice, the knowing, the loving embrace of Spirit without agenda.
Here are five reasons to relax into and surrender to Spirit:
Each time you trust Spirit, you build a rapport with your team. Your spirit guides work with you and are interested in your growth. When you demonstrate that you trust what you’re given, they will see you can manage even more complex information.
You will never get more from Spirit than you can handle. Remember, what you get from Spirit is for you to give away. If you do ever feel overwhelmed, don’t close down. Shake out your arms and hands, change your sitting or standing position, change your view, take a drink of water. What you experience is temporary and not for you to integrate or act out.
To give what you get means surrendering to Spirit so they will give you more! Flow is the feeling of ease you experience when you’re blending well with Spirit.
When you develop your own, personal style of connection to Spirit everything falls into place. Don’t copy what other mediums say because Spirit is unique as you are. Be open to both the weird and wonderful and trust that you’re the right medium for this communicator and recipient.
Recognize that Spirit is in the eternal now. Trust being present and trust bringing forward new information for your recipient. A “no” may be a simple misunderstanding or a forgetting. Don’t get stuck in what you had said, keep moving forward.
I hope you enjoy practicing surrender in your mediumship and daily life.
